It may be a different venue, but the issues haven't changed! The economy is still tanking, City Council spent hours on garbage – literally, and our town gained notoriety thanks to a six-year old boy and a hot air balloon!

Speaking of 'hot air' – Sarah Palin, John Edwards, Dick Chaney, and Mr. Whosie Toyoda make major contribution to that aspect of global warming! In a nation where vampires are hailed and the truth – not so much, why are we surprised that loaded guns are more welcome in our national parks than litter and loud music!

After all, when White House security can be breeched by a couple in formal attire and when males by the thousands prefer skulking in 'man caves' to occupying corner offices in the corporate hierarchy, we're obviously in a downward spiral and we might as well look for the pony since we're already knee-deep in it anyway!

That's where The Mostlies come in. This talented group of satirists and songsters manage to look on the humorous side of life, setting their wildly original lyrics to familiar tunes for an evening of restorative laughter! The Mostlies have a pre-existing condition – one that makes it impossible to feel overwhelmed by headlines, hotheads, heads of industry, or politicians who bury their heads!

Mostlies' parody has been delighting local audiences for nearly two decades and will continue to do so long after accelerators stop sticking, air travel becomes enjoyable again, and Republicans stop saying 'no'! Alright, the last one's a long shot, but The Mostlies' brand of on-target humor is a welcome relief while we wait!

With the renovation project currently underway at the Fort Collins Lincoln Center we have yet to schedule our summer 2011 show dates. Our hope is to be back in the Mini Theatre in July. Please keep an eye on this website and www.lctix.com for further information.
